The Mayans
Achieving Greatness
We all know that the bad hombres of this world come from Mexico, so obviously, to achieve greatness, we should all start building a wall to keep those fuckers where they belong; in Mexico, but the second thing we might also want to be doing is to look back and see how nations actually achieve greatness. These Bad hombres made a calender which only ran until the year 2012…. Can you fucking Imagine? Which evil-minded people would do a thing like that?
The day after tomorrow
We love to watch movies about how this world comes to an end—well, I do, at least. I can not get enough of these movies. But I actually also like movies to end with a so-called happy ending. 2012 is not the movie Trump played in, so maybe it’s not that great, but it’s made because of the bad hombres. To flip the script and change it into a happy ending, I want you to introduce myself and a friend I met in the year 2012. Let’s call us the good hombres shall we? But honestly, since we are gay many people around the world perceive us as the bad hombres, which is fake news, because.. hello, are we Mexican?? NO, I don’t think so; I’m from Holland, so obviously, we are the good guys, although I must admit we’re both Muslim as well, which kinda makes us the bad guys again, right? I identify myself with Sufism, so after introducing ourselves as the good and the bad guys, you can read some more about Sufism and what it actually is.
The End
The Mayans are well known for their counting of days, and that’s where it all gets very interesting because our whole existence can be explained in numbers. As the calendar came to an end, so did the universe announce our new beginning, which the whole world could finally see in 2020, when the Bethelem star shined brightly at the night sky on Christmas day, which was also called the great conjunction and the dawn of the age of Aquarius. Although these are given facts, another fact is that nothing will change if we do not make it so. As I announce me myself and I, and my friend Faslie as the good and bad guy’s, I will not only link our meeting to ‘the end’, but moreover to our new beginning by looking back at what things made the great civilizations great. From that point we can start looking forward again.
Fas & Me (… or the gay Jesus and Mohammed version)

In 2012, Faslie, whose full name is Mohammed, and I (Peter, full name Pieter Lamper) first met. He had been selected through a Malaysian student program to study at Wageningen University and Research in the Netherlands. We initially connected through a date arranged on Grindr, and on our second outing, we attempted to drive to Paris but only made it as far as Antwerp. Faslie, being as social as he is, quickly made a lot of friends. We all began to refer to each other as family since many of us did not have close ties with our biological relatives for various reasons. Our story is about our collective journey, and to frame it, we start by connecting it to the Mayan calendar and pointing out that we are all family.

The Mayans
The Maya civilization, dating back to around 2000 BCE, thrived in regions of present-day Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, and El Salvador. It peaked during the Classic Period (250-900 CE) with over 40 cities and a population of approximately 10 million. Society was hierarchical, with kings, nobles, priests, and farmers. Agriculture was central, utilizing innovative techniques, and their diet included corn, beans, and squash. Religion was paramount, as the Maya were polytheistic, worshipping nature deities and practicing animism. They are notable for creating a sophisticated 365-day calendar.

The Great Flood
Although I don’t have close ties with my family I continue re-telling our story with where I’m from; originally Sealand where a tsunami once flooded a big part of the Netherlands just like in the Story of Noah. Noah build an arc just as the people in the movie 2012 did to save life in a dying world. We at Eartheories do the same, only our promise is to leave no one behind.

The Great Conjunction & The Age of The Aquarius
The Age of Aquarius is an astrological period lasting about 2,160 years, marked by a transition from the Age of Pisces. It signifies a shift towards harmony, innovation, and collective consciousness, moving from an individualistic focus to a communal one. This era emphasizes intellectualism, humanitarian values, and expanded consciousness, heralding significant societal transformations. Debate exists regarding its exact start, with some claiming it began as early as 2012 or 2020. Each zodiac sign will be influenced differently, embracing unique strengths to contribute to a more connected and equitable future.
